Salt & Pepper
For the client done hiding the grey.
Dark hair blended with silver and steel grey — a true salt-and-pepper mix.
Why this shade
The most underused service in your menu: blending greys instead of covering them. Salt & Pepper sits at level 3 with a deliberately sheer deposit — enough pigment to pull greys back into harmony with dark hair, transparent enough to let the silver punch through. The result reads intentional, not "fading colour".
Who it's for
The client transitioning out of years of monthly root touch-ups. The man who wants polish without commitment. Clients with 30–60% grey who want to soften the contrast between root and grown-out colour without restarting the cycle of permanent commitments.
- Clients transitioning out of permanent grey coverage
- Men who want polish without a maintenance schedule
- Anyone with 30–60% grey wanting visible silver, controlled depth
In the chair
Apply neat to dry, unshampooed hair so the existing grey pattern shows through your application. Process the minimum 15 minutes — a full 20 will close the silver too far. The aim is translucent, not opaque. Rinse and condition; no shampoo for the first 24 hours.
- Apply on DRY hair to read the grey pattern
- Process exactly 15 minutes — do not push to 20
- No-shampoo 24 hours for maximum tonal hold
For more contrast (whiter silvers, deeper darks): mix 70% Salt & Pepper + 30% 7T Graphite — pulls extra cool into the silvers while preserving the dark anchor.
